I don’t think that anyone’s idea of exciting television would be a show about wine. Let’s be honest, the wine industry isn’t exactly known for its interesting television. Who’d want to see a bunch of random people sitting around tasting wine? Well, not many. Thankfully, you will be very surprised to see that Wine Library TV is something completely different from what you’d expect. You won’t see a bunch of pompous old guys sitting by a fireplace. You will see an average entrepreneur who is taking wine out of the snooty estates and into the average man’s home.
Gary Yaynerchuk broadcasts shows that are entertaining and informative. You can learn tidbits about the latest developments in the wine industry and gain information about what makes a good wine. That makes the show sound far more sophisticated than it is though. He set out to change the way that people look at wine. It is no longer supposed to be a secret of the elite, but something everyone can relate to. This principle applies to each broadcast. He’ll happily fly into rants about sports in the middle of a serious discussion, giving the entire set a realistic feeling.
This isn’t meant to downplay the good information present though. The episodes hosted on the site explain the unique flavors of different wines, debunk the many myths surrounding the beverage, and discuss the interesting processes that produce it. If you want to learn a bit about wine without the insufferable lectures of more pretentious experts, then Wine Library TV is the site for you.
